The Power of Positive Thinking is about faith - having faith in yourself and faith in a higher power. Fill your mind with faith and you will achieve great things.
It's amazing how many authors have borrowed from this book - choosing your attitude, expressing gratitude, self-actualization... they're all in there! Peale is not the inventor of these concepts, but he's one of the first to bring them together in this easy-to-read self-help format (copyright 1952).
Numerous tips and instructions for living a successful life fill the pages. Many are summarized at the end of the chapters. Most have a religious bent, which is not all that surprising considering Peale was a Christian minister. There are also quite a few memorable stories and quotes from Peale and many others. Some memorable quips include:

- Plan your work and work your plan
Some have taken issue with Peale and some of his teachings. They may or may not be justified in doing so. Regardless, this best-selling book has sold millions of copies and is one of the original giants in the self-help genre. That alone makes it compelling enough to read.

Timeless wisdom
Although I have read other "positive thinking" books, Norman Vincent Peale's book is unique. I feel I have benefitted very much by his approach and insights!

This is an excellent book for anyone looking for a biblical solution to everyday problems. This book has numerous examples of people improving their lives by using the methods and memorizing uplifting Bible verses. Faith works wonders. I highly recommend this book.
Excellent timeless classic
I love this book. It is practical, positive and really forces you to examine the way you think.
I first read it when I was 13, and I read it every few years and still find I get so much out of it.
I think everyone should read this book at some point in their lives.
If you are struggling with negativity this book will help give you some tools mentally to overcome.
