 Wonderful!! Just what I needed!
This book was written over 30 years ago, but its humor and practicality make it relevant to those of us who are still struggling today. I've been on Flylady's program, and it is great. But this book gave me the guidance I needed in order to plan ahead when I would be able to accomplish the deep-cleaning I was aiming to do this summer. Thanks to this book, I now have a plan, and even if it isn't perfect, there is Plan B. And more is getting done than ever before!
Flylady says that their card system was too cumbersome for her to use... and I can see it well could be. But I didn't do all the address list and shopping list suggestions... I have an address book that is adequate for now. I just used their guidelines to help me formulate my own plan of action for decluttering week-by-week, month-by-month. Since I have been baby-stepping with Flylady, I am ready for the serious stuff now. :)
One nice thing is that now they have pre-printed 3x5 cards available on their website. ([...]) I had already done most of mine, so I didn't order any, but they do look great. I may order them for my daughter. I've already ordered her the book. :D
 Happy with transaction, unhappy with book
The book is definately not what I was hoping for. I was hoping to make life easier but if I followed the instructions, it would give me another job to do. Anyway, transaction was good and would use this seller in the future.

This book gives excellent advice to any homemaker out there who finds themselves in a frustrating "can't keep up" situation in their house cleaning and home running!! What a delightfully funny read with WONDERFULLY inspiring insight. We saw ourselves in the first few pages and breathed sighs of relief in the self helping skills and tactics put forth by the authors. But most of all, found a real connection and a renewed sense of empowerment that gave both of us the ability to get organized in our homes and lives. This book was a life saver for me 30 some years ago and just "saved" my daughter last month when I bought it for her as she found herself sidetracked and wrecked as a home executive!! Can't thank these authors enough.

the help I needed
I can't say enough good things about this book. I am a mother of 3 children 5 and under. I held the fort down (barly)until number 3 came and that was the end of all things clean and organized. This book took me away from my all or nothing cleaning method and helped me brake things down into small doable steps. My children love having cards of their own. I have worked this system for 2 weeks now and my home really is starting to look like I have a cleaning service. I am less worried about when everything will get done, my housework time is cut in half, and I am spending more time with my family. Thanks ladies for taking the time to share your system with the world!
Organized at last!
I initially bought this book 15 years ago and my home was so organized, even with three children. I bought it again recently because we downsized homes and everything was chaos. My home is in order again, and it isn't even difficult! Great plan!
