AND THE LOT OF YOU BELIEVE THIS IS OKAY. You believe that homosexuals deserve to be treated this way. "God hates them so we can hate them too". "God is sending them to hell so we don't have to respect them either". In April 2005, before thousands of his church members assembled at California's Anaheim Angels sport stadium, Rick Warren described a "stealth" program for global Christian dominion and encouraged his supporters to embrace the level of dedication shown by followers of Hitler, Lenin, and Mao. You Christians are sickening. I've read some of the reviews of this book. Half of you are calling the other half "demon worshipers" "deceived", "spreading lies" and every other name under the sun to allude to profanity but never really quite using it because then your slandering each other won't be posted. You people -Christians are disgusting. No love, no compassion. All of you use Christ as a weapon and the Bible as a code of condemnation and judgment. I can't imagine how any of you live in your self-righteous, condemning, judgmental lives. Going through your day, thanking god you're "not like them". You're all oblivious to the fact that it was people like you that murdered him in the first place. Thank you for giving me a gratitude break. You're all grateful you're not me, but I assure you, I'm more grateful that I'm not you.

This book is not like any self-help books which "often suggests that you try to discover the meaning and purpose of your life by looking within yourself; instead this book says to begin with God!" As a I read a few chapters of the book, I began to realize what we are on this earth for. In day two of the book, it clearly says in bold letters, "You are not an Accident!" Rick Warren's book not only affected me because it is a powerful, inspirational book, but because it talks about everyday life values. This piece of work is an inspirational, impacting, and soul-reflecting. As book reviews from the NY Times, Wall Street Journal, ABC News say, "Millions of people such as movie stars and celebrities are finding help in this book for spiritual guidance." This bestseller accomplishes a great deal for urging us to turn our focus to God instead of secular views. It speaks to both believers and non-believers alike.
Changed my life
This book changed my life. I read it when it first came out about 3 years ago. I loaned it to a friend who never returned it. I had to have another copy. I would encourage anyone to read this wonderful book. I treasure it.

Rick Warren's "The Purpose Driven Life" reads like a crash course in Christianity. It is one of the best books on the subject I have ever read. While this is designed as a devotional book to be read over 40 days I found it so compelling that I read it in two days.
I found the material this book covers to be positive, refreshing and comforting. Some of the most helpful topics discussed were about sin and temptation. This book truly gives you some of the keys to the victorious Christian life. Rick Warren discusses salvation briefly but in his prayer he didn't really include a sentence about asking for forgiveness of sins. So this book is really more for readers who are already Christians. Some of the topics include:
How we should live for God instead of just for ourselves
How to accept yourself as God accepts you
Why this life is just preparation for eternity
Why this world is not your real home
Why we should love the church despite its imperfections
How to love others despite their faults
How to withstand temptations
How to develop a servant's heart
The difference between a worldly Christian and a World-Class Christian
Why you should consider a short-term missions trip
This book is mainly about how we can worship and serve God. Rick Warren provides almost a thousand Bible verses to back up his message. I can recommend this book highly to new Christians seeking God's will in their life or to more mature Christians who are reevaluating their life. I may be one of the last people on the planet to read this book but it came into my life at the right time.
